Clyde Newmons

Clyde Newmons, 73, of Ochlocknee, GA, passed away at his home on Friday, July 10, 2026. Private interment will be in Pleasant Grove Community Cemetery, Cairo, GA.

Mr. Newmons was born on December 27, 1952, in Cairo, GA, to the late Wilburn Junior Newmons and Audrey Sadler Newmons. On June 29, 1973, he married Cheryl “Kim” G. Newmons, who preceded him in death of September 18, 2013. He was a master carpenter.

Survivors include: daughters, Angie Jernigan (Paul) of Thomasville, GA, Jennifer Brinson (Heath) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Bailee Butler (Elliot) of Cairo, GA, Sydney Smith (Kyle) of Atlanta, GA, Cole Brinson, Micah Brinson, both of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Owen Rogers, Ivy Butler, Jett Butler, Mason Brinson; siblings, Billy Newmons, Evelyn Osborn, Gracie Barlow; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, W. J. and Audrey Newmons; his wife, Kim Newmons; and brother, Samuel Newmons.

The family will receive friends and family at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
