Charles Monroe Jones
December 24, 1935 – August 20, 2023

Charles Monroe Jones, 87, of Whigham, GA, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 20, 2023.  The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Charles was born on December 24, 1935, in Whigham, GA, to the late William M. Jones and Sarah Eloise Perkins Jones.  He was honored to serve his country in the United States Army, police officer, retired electrician, but his passion was his family’s farm and working the land.  Mostly he was a beloved brother, father, grandfather and uncle.  The love for his family was matched only by his loving nature and wit.  “hee-hee”

Survivors include: daughters, Lisa Villarreal Allen (Charles Allen) of Whigham, GA, Lauren Kilpatrick (Darryl) of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Brianna Zollick (David) of Macon, GA, Benjamin Snodgrass of Whigham, GA, Jesse Villarreal of Whigham, GA, Rachel Loveland of Burbank, CA, Brentley Kilpatrick of Crestview, FL, Christina Allen, Catherine Allen, both of Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Caspian, Thorin, Adalyn, Easton, and Harrison; brother, Larry Jones of Whigham, GA; and sisters, Faye Goforth (Hugh) of Orlanda, FL, Lynne Brice (Darrell) of Hartwell, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, sisters, Gennelle McCleland, Sarah Jones; and a brother, William Jones.
