Charles B. Shupe
July 17, 1933 – February 27, 2023

Charles B. Shupe, 89, of Decatur, GA, formerly of Tampa, FL, passed away at The Madeline of Decatur Senior Living Center in Decatur, GA, on Monday, February 27, 2023.  Private interment will be in the Cairo Cemetery.  Private family memorial services will be held later this week at his daughter’s home in Decatur, GA.

Mr. Shupe was born on July 17, 1933, in Eatonton, GA, to the late William Benjamin Shupe and Ella Clarice Thompson Shupe.  On April 2, 1955, he married Ann Lee Shupe, who preceded him in death on March 20, 2019.  They were married for over 63 years.  Before his retirement, he was the chief financial officer for Tampa Armature Works.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: daughter, Susan Petrirena (Mario) of Decatur, GA; grandchildren, Gregory Petrirena of Decatur, GA, Joshua Simons of St. Petersburg, FL, Samuel Simons of Littleton, CO; brothers, Carey W. Shupe of Eatonton, GA, Ronald G. Shupe of Loganville, GA; and a sister, Shirley D. Shupe of Eatonton, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; daughter, Angela Shupe Simons; and a brother, LaRue Shupe.
