Carolyn Eudene Hudson

Graveside funeral services for Carolyn Eudene Hudson, 85, of Whigham, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 24, 2022, in Providence Community Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Pastor Steve Singletary will officiate.  Interment will be in Providence Community Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mrs. Hudson passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, February 20, 2022.

Mrs. Hudson was born on January 30, 1937, in Cairo, GA, to the late Jessie L. Polk and Margaret Barfield Bass.   She was a mail sorter for the U.S. Postal Service.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: her husband, Ernie Hudson of Whigham, GA; sons, Carroll Walden (Sharon Hilbert, Carroll’s best friend) of Whigham, GA, Wayman Walden, Jr. (June) of Bells, TX, Donnie Walden (Nancy) of Mineral Wells, TX; grandchildren, Michael Walden (Alex), Jennifer Stokesbury (Curtis), James Walden, Donnie Walden (Amanda), Jonathan Walden, and Candy Dean (Bill); and 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband and father of her children, Wayman Luther Walden; and a sister, Elaine Tetts.
