Brenda Paul Johnson was born on March 29, 1955, in Columbus, GA, to Otis Milton and Julia Mae Melton Murphy. She was a beautiful person.  She loved to make people laugh.  She cared for everyone, especially children and Veterans.  She loved to feed everyone.  Her three daughters and grandchildren were her world.  She would cook for the American Legion and feed the Veterans.   She helped with Food programs to help people get food when they were short on money.  She loved her family, God, and church family.  She was a daughter, wife, mother, and child of God.  She was filled with love for serving others.  Brenda loved to do research and genealogy for her family and Native friends.  She made everyone feel good about themselves and loved to make them smile.  She had several charities that she would support and was very passionate about.  They were, the diabetes foundation, the St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Wounded Warriors Project, and Alzheimer’s Association.  She worked hard to support her family and most of all…  Momma will be missed dearly; she was a loving mother who loved her children BIG and wanted us to all be with her in GLORY one day with her.  So, trust in the Lord, and get to know Jesus!  He is your comforter.  Thank you all for all the support from The Riders for Christ Cowboy Church, and Jan Warden, and Susan Hancock for all the food and hard work to keep us feed. Thank you to Mike Mathers for his electrical skills to help my cousin get power to her camper.  So, much love and thanks for all who loved mom and cared for her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Johnson, Jr., and her sister and brother-in-law, Ruble and Martha Youngblood.

Survivors include: her children, Bonnie E. Johnson (Jimmy) of Whigham, GA, Mary Paul Kersey (Donald) of Cairo, GA, Angie McClellan (Gary) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Tiffany Evans (Paul Johnson), Philip Evans (Jonniesue), Daniel Paul (Christal), Reather Venable, Aaron Venable,  Robert L. Kersey, Tristan Jarriel (Natasha); 15 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Sherry M. Starcher, Donna K. Ford, and Janice M. Mooney.
