Beverly Tinsley Womble

Funeral services for Beverly Tinsley Womble, 81, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Pine Level Baptist Church, GA. Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Womble passed away peacefully at her home in Cairo, GA, on Monday, November 25, 2024.

Active pallbearers will be Kevin Harrison, Ricky Powe, Earl Prince, Pat Pollock, Pastor Rob Cronin and K.C. Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Victory Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Womble was born on November 28, 1942, in Cairo, GA, to the late James Milton Tinsley and the late Ruth Gainous Tinsley. On February 3, 1963, she married Donald Lee Womble, and he preceded her in death after 58 years of marriage on November 3, 2021. She was a homemaker and a devoted member at Pine Level Baptist Church. She loved working in her garden and flower beds. She was also a great seamstress and quilter.

Survivors include her children, Sheila W. Cape (Jeffrey), Sherri W. Kesler (George), both of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Macey L. Kesler, Bryson H. Cape (Hannah), Anna M. Kesler, Carrie K. Stanaland (Seth), Georgia K. Hammond (Daniel), all of Cairo, GA; a host of great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Richard Allan Womble; father-in-love and mother-in-love, Hershal L. Womble and Lousie Horton Womble.

The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to her caregivers, Kim Hubbard, Rosie Almond and Mary Murry, for all of the loving and devoted care they provided.
