Graveside funeral services for Bertha Mae Blankenship, 90, of Cairo, GA, are at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592. Mrs. Blankenship passed away at Archbold Living-Pelham, GA, on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Mrs. Blankenship was born on September 13, 1935, in Broxton, GA, to the late Aaron Smith and Nellie Inez Todd Smith. On August 12, 1954, she married Robert Rueben Blankenship, who preceded her in death on February 15, 2007. She was a homemaker and attended Eastside Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: her daughter, Priscilla Strickland (Robert) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Amber Mangini (Douglas) of Cairo, GA, Aaron Strickland (Heather) of Greer, SC, Traci Day of Cypress, TX, Ashley Blankenship of Tampa, FL; great-grandchildren, Joseph Mangini, Angeline Mangini, Caroline Mangini, Emmeline Mangini, Madeline Mangini, all of Cairo, GA; Lauren Sherman of Wesley Chapel, FL, Lilli Day of Cypress, TX, Ayden Bealer of Tampa, FL; sisters, Barbara Barron (Jack) of Lake Wales, FL, Ruby Newby (George) of Dewey Rose, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Aaron and Nellie Smith; her husband, Robert R. Blankenship; her son, Robert Wayne Blankenship; and her siblings, Velma Mills, Nellie Jernigan, Rudolph Smith.

The family will receive friends at Sunset Memory Gardens’ Chapel on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m.
