Funeral services for Belinda Hagan Hurst, 80, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Charles Whatley will officiate. Services will conclude in the chapel. Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mrs. Hurst passed away at Wight Hospice Center at Archbold Memorial in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Active pallbearers will be Greg VanLandingham, Curt VanLandingham, Phil Watson, Cliff Jones, Russell Register and John Jackson.

Mrs. Hurst was born on February 2, 1946, in Cairo, GA, to the late Clower Hagan and Louise Carter Hagan. On October 17, 1964, she married Dannie Millard Hurst. They have been married 61 years. She was a devoted homemaker and she was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include: her husband, Dannie M. Hurst of Whigham, GA; son, Nigel Hurst of Whigham, GA; grandson, Griffin Hurst of Whigham, GA; and her brothers, Billy Hagan (Mary) of Cairo, GA, Jimmy Hagan (Jitta) of Jacksonville, FL.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Clower and Louise Hagan; sister, Jeanette Stannish; and a brother-in-law, Lamar Stannish.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Hurst’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Shriners Children’s Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the service.
