Memorial services for Arthur Robert “Bobby” Collins, 76, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Pastor Travis Harrison will officiate. Military Honors will be presented. Services will conclude at the chapel. Private interment will be in the Maxwell-Collins Family Cemetery. Mr. Collins passed away at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville, GA, on Saturday, July 27, 2019.

Mr. Collins was born on October 12, 1942, in Cairo, GA, to the late Arthur Braxton Collins and Clara Ellen Ferrell Ward. He served his country in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. He worked for the Georgia State Patrol, Driver’s License Division, following his military service and then Riverside Manufacturing in Atlanta, GA as a Driver and Head of Transportation. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his daughter, Alisha Collins Seymour (Jeff) of St. Simons Island, GA; his son, Chris Collins of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Clare Seymour, Cate Seymour, both of St. Simons Island, GA; and his brother, Steve Collins (Carol) of Cairo, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his son, Bill Collins; and a brother, Richard Collins.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service. A luncheon for family and friends will follow at the First Assembly of God, 495 12th Ave. NE, Cairo, GA.
