Funeral services for Ann Robinson Bracewell, 85, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Long Branch Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Rod Brinkley and Rev. Chris Allen will officiate. Interment will be in Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Bracewell passed away at Archbold Living-Cairo in Cairo, GA, on Monday, September 22, 2025.
Active pallbearers will be Carl Haywood, Marcus Bracewell, Matthew Dorsey, Greg Cumbie, Randy Griffin and Terry Harrison.
Mrs. Bracewell was born on February 20, 1940, in Cairo, GA, to the late Bernard G. Robinson and Bessie Lawrence Robinson. On Oct. 26, 1957, she married Carlton Timothy “C.T.” Bracewell, who preceded her in death on January 8, 2023. They were married for 65 years. She provided a loving home for the children that she kept in her day care as they grew up. She loved every child in her special way, providing love and support. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and yard to make it beautiful. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her children, Tim Bracewell (Becky) of Cairo, GA, Sherry Dorsey (Chris) of Cairo, GA, Jeffery Bracewell (Theresa) of Colonial Heights, VA; grandchildren, Blair Bracewell, Anna Dorsey, Matthew Dorsey (Makinley), Jeffery Bracewell, Jr. (Caitlyn), Sarah Bracewell; great-grandchildren, Joshua Timothy Thomas, Paisleigh Bracewell, Maggie Bracewell, Hudson Dorsey; sister, Gloria Searcy of Cairo, GA; sister-in-law, Gwen Robinson of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; an infant daughter, Angela Bracewell; siblings, Winfred Robinson, Bernard Roberson, Hollis Robinson, Eunice Griner, Paulette Daughtry and Mavis Zorn.
The family wishes to express their appreciation and thank you to the staff of Cairo Living-Cairo for the excellent care, support and love given to Mrs. Bracewell during her stay.
