Ana-Melea Grace McGinty

The family of Ana-Melea Grace McGinty is heartbroken to announce her peaceful passing on July 21, 2026, surrounded by the love and support of her family after a short but courageous battle with leukemia. Memorial services are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA.
Ana was born on October 12, 1997, in Little Rock, AR to Melea Nichols Norton and Bradley LC Haynes. At the age of five, she moved to Grady County and proudly called Cairo home. She graduated from Cairo High School in 2016. Ana lived a life filled with sunshine, kindness, and joy, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Her caring spirit was especially evident through her work at Cairo Eye Care, where she brightened the lives of both her coworkers and the patients she served.
Ana will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Justin McGinty, who remained faithfully by her side throughout her illness. She is also survived by her stepson Colton Wilkerson, father, Brad Haynes and his wife, Valerie, of Batesville, MS; her brother, Tylar Haynes; stepbrothers Steve Norton, Austin Moncrief (Alex) and Aaron Moncrief (Courtney); stepsisters Lynne Norton-Silsby (Elvin) and Becky Norton; her mother-in-law, Mary (Timmy); and her brothers-in-law, Dewayne (Audrey) and Melvin (Tara). Ana will also be deeply missed by her cherished friends whose love and friendship meant so much to her.
Ana was preceded in death by her stepfather, Tim Norton; her grandparents, Barbara Nichols, L.C. Haynes, Jr., Faye and Z.E. Norton.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team at the Mayo Clinic, especially the nurses on the 10th Floor, for the compassion, kindness, and exceptional care they provided throughout Ana’s treatment. They also wish to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at the McGraw Center for Community Hospice, whose comfort and support allowed Ana to experience the peaceful passing she so greatly desired.
Though her time on earth was far too short, Ana’s warmth, generosity, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
After the service, the family will be receiving family and friends at the home Ana shared with Justin at 1:00 p.m. to celebrate her life.
