Alan Leroy Odom

Alan Leroy Odom, 69, of Bainbridge, GA, formerly of Whigham, GA, passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Monday morning, October 31, 2016. No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Odom was born on March 22, 1947, in Jasper, FL, to the late Adam Leroy Odom and Ruth Webb Odom. He was a millwright with Z. E. Norton Construction. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Alan loved to build a bonfire, gather the family, and play his guitar. He was devoted to his grandchildren.

Survivors include: his wife of 39 years, Joyce Bryan Odom of Bainbridge, GA; sons, Alan Leroy Odom (Debra) of Lake City, FL, Richard Elmore Odom of White Springs, FL, Johnny Odom of White Springs, FL; grandchildren, Joseph Waynealan Bryan of Whigham, GA, Mackenzie Lynn Trim of Whigham, GA, Trent Lee Odom of Cairo, GA, Josh Alan Odom of Cairo, GA, Cheyenne A. Bryan of Bainbridge, GA; sister, Ruchelle York of Riverview, FL; brother, Ernie McCulley of Arcadia, FL; daughter-in-law, Heather Thursby of Whigham, GA; brother-in-law, Huey Bryan of Bainbridge, GA; nephews, Anthony Bryan of Bainbridge, Dale Bryan of Bainbridge, GA, William Prest of Bainbridge, GA; god-daughters, Andy Tittle Motlow, Chrissy Lynn Hallowhand, both of Immokalee, FL; and very special friends, Timmy and Melea Norton of Whigham, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Mikayla Shae Bryan.
