Steven Courtemanche

Steven Courtemanche, 73, of Cairo GA, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Memorial services will be held in Maine and will be announced in the future.

Mr. Courtemanche was born on November 13, 1951, in Newton, MA, to the late Dennis Courtemanche and Norma Colarusso Courtemanche. On May 26, 1979, he married Linda Grassille Courtemanche, who preceded him in death on January 7, 2023. They were married for over 43 years. Mr. Courtemanche was a self-employed business owner of S & D Polishing and S & D Towing.

Mr. Courtemanche was a long-time resident of Wells, Maine. Because of health issues, he moved to Cairo to be near his family in July of 2025. He was lovingly known as Stevie. He was a kind and loving family man. He loved his three dogs he had over the course of his life: JB, Dorrie, and Jazzy. He was well known for his love of pizza and worked at Seacoast Pizza and Pasta in Wells, Maine. He continued to go regularly to Seacoast Pizza and Pasta even after he stopped working there. He loved going to the beach, eating ice cream, and spending time with loved ones.

Survivors include: his daughter, Melissa Lemire (Normand) of Cairo, GA; stepdaughter, Debra Martel (Rick); grandchildren, Julia Lemire of Cairo, GA, Samantha Lemire of Cairo, GA, Zackary Jaques of Maine; step grandchildren, Kristen Bagley, Shaun Bosselman; siblings, Lloyd Courtemanche (Minnie) of North Providence, RI, Cindy Morse (Lyle) of Middletown, RI; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; daughter, Olivia Jaques; and a brother, Dennis Courtemanche.
