Funeral services for Rebecca Jane Bonner “Becky” Hartsfield, 70, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2025, at Faith Christian Center, Cairo, GA. Pastor David Coleman, Sr. will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Hartsfield passed away at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Mrs. Hartsfield was born on March 11, 1955, in Cairo, GA, to the late Joseph Alton Bonner and Leila McLendon Bonner. On August 30, 1974, she married Robert James Hartsfield, who preceded her in death on November 10, 2014. They were married for over 40 years. Becky’s work history includes working with the Cairo Messenger Publishing Company, as an insurance agent and most recently with CivicPlus, a software company.

Becky’s hobbies included crocheting, swimming, basketball and all sports activities. She was a devoted Cairo Syrupmaid.

Survivors include: her son, Heath Hartsfield of Cairo, GA; sister, Mae Belle Griffin of Jennings, FL; nieces and nephews, Steven Griffin, Chuck Griffin, both of Jennings, FL, David Bonner of Climax, GA, Betsy Tillman (William) of Lake Park, GA, Abi Tillman, Will Tillman, Russell Tillman, all of Lake Park, GA, Jamey Crum, Russell Crum, both of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; brothers, Joseph Franklin Bonner, George Wayne Bonner; sister, Peggy Irene Crum; Aunt Virginia and Uncle Snooks Green; and a niece, Heidi Lambert.

The family will receive friends at Faith Christian Center immediately following the funeral service.
