Brenda Butler Harrison

Funeral services for Brenda Gail Butler Harrison, 76, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2025, at Pine Level Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Harrison passed away at her home on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Brice Edwards, Cole Harrison, Zach Harrison, Hunter Clark, Chris Wood and Stevie Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Davis, PT Harrison, Brad Swan, Wendell Odom, John Henry Mitchell and Lee Gainous.

Mrs. Harrison was born on June 19, 1948, in Cairo, GA, to the late John Thomas “JT” Butler. Jr. and Dorothy Horton Butler. She was a member of the Cairo School Class of 1967. In 1968, she married David Harrison. They have been married for almost 57 years. She was a housewife and devoted member of Pine Level Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: her husband, David Harrison of Cairo, GA; children, Dana Moore (Darren) of Cairo, GA, Ron Harrison (Greta) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Brice Edwards (Bailey) of Cairo, GA, Lacey Clark (Hunter) of Moultrie, GA, Cole Harrison (Alanah) of Cairo, GA, Zach Harrison of Cairo, GA, Dara Wood (Chris) of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Berklin, Beckham, Brix, Aubrey Kate, Kynlee Blake, Harrison, Carter, Tate; sister, Sylvia Ferguson (Terry) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jane Butler Cliett.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Harrison’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
