Jason Christopher Bailey Johnson

A Celebration of Life service honoring Jason Bailey Johnson will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, 334 South Broad Street, Cairo, GA. The service will be led by Rev. Marian Johnson. The family will receive friends at the Chapel immediately following the Celebration service.
Jason was born on August 6, 1969, in Thomasville, GA, to the late James Clinton Bailey and Marian Phillips Bailey Johnson. He was a graduate of the CHS Class of 1989. He worked in the information technology industry.
Survivors include: his mother, Marian Johnson of Cairo, GA; siblings, Clint Bailey-Florida, Suzanne Bailey-Florida, Scott Johnson-Texas, Carrie Johnson Glover (Mack) Panama City, Florida; an aunt, Charlotte Kirkland; cousin, Keith Kirkland (Jackie) and Denese Johnson-Texas.
Additional loved one include nephews and nieces, Scotty Johnson (Shay), Justin Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Mackenzie Glover; great-nephews and great-nieces, Kali Johnson, Trey Johnson, Nate Molique, Bella Molique; Lauren Brown (Ty), Logan Sorrow, Aubree Sorrow; Ashley Sorrow, Alyssa Wiggins, Amber and Victor Gonzales, Leann Moye, and Mattie Grace Moye. Extended family include Dewayne Sorrow (Tiffany), Whigham, GA and a host of adopted family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by: both of his maternal and paternal grandparents; fathers, James Bailey and Dr. Rev. Larry E. Johnson; uncle, Chuck Phillips; and cousin, Karen Kirkland Moye.
Jason was a man of strong faith and love and was continuously expressing his love in his writings and deeds. He was the cord that kept all the people in his families tied together. He loved the family reunions and looked forward to being with everyone. His love of all sports, especially wrestling, basketball and football was his entertainment. His superb memory of all the teams, their players and all their scores was quite outstanding. He kept all his friends informed of the schedules of their favorite teams during the season.
