Glenda Davis Coker

Mrs. Coker passed away at Archbold Living in Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. The Family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Coker was born on October 3, 1940, in Cairo, GA, to the late George Linton Davis and Anges Bown Davis.

On April 4, 1964, she married Bobby Earl Coker, who preceded her in death on July 4, 1994. They were married for 30 years. She retired as a seamstress with the Ithica Corporation. She was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: her children, Dawn Sorrow of McDonough, GA, Teresa Savitz (Mike) of Whigham, GA, Ginger Coker of Dawsonville, GA, Bobbie Coker of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Carolina Sorrow of McDonough, GA, Garrett Merkison (Brooke) of Cairo, GA, Dakota Sorrow of Loveland, CO, Brooke Velasquez (Josè) of Cairo, GA, Trey Dixon (Maddie) of Jasper, GA, Dylan Dixon of Dawsonville, GA; great-grandchildren, Randall Sorrow, Alli Grace Velasquez, Wren Merkison, Lawson Dixon & Baker Dixon; siblings, Duane “Banjo” Davis (Voncile) of Cairo, GA, Patricia Hornsby (Henry) of Alpharetta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
