Funeral services for Lorene Owen Walden, 92, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA. Rev. Staffie Thomaston will officiate. The family will have a private interment. Mrs. Walden passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Active pallbearers will be Hardy Dollar, Paul Harrell, Ben Harrell, Andrew Johnson, Lynn Busby, and Dale Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kelvin Harrell and Sam Johnson

Mrs. Walden was born on December 3, 1933, in Cairo, GA, to the late Richard Herschell and Doletha Holman Owen. On November 3, 1950, she married Freeman Benjamin Walden, who preceded her in death on September 14, 2016. Lorene was a professional seamstress that had a shop and office on South Broad Street in Cairo for years. She semiretired and worked out of her home after she closed her store.

Survivors include: son, Glenn D. Walden (Cindi) of Crawfordville, FL, daughter, Tammie W. Harrell (Tim) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Talia H. Stewart (Michael) of Loganville, GA, S. Dustin Harrell of Bainbridge, GA; great-grandchildren, Gavin Stewart and Cameron Stewart, both of Loganville, GA, Annabelle Harrell and C.J. Staples, both of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Herschell and Doletha Owen; her husband, Freeman Benjamin Walden; and her siblings, Robert Owen, J.L. Owen, Louise Wood, Bessie Cottles, Allen Owen, Dorothy Allen and Bertie Dollar.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from -10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
