Beverly Ann Mathis Norton Walden

Beverly Ann Mathis Norton Walden, 79, of Cairo, GA, passed away at home on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The family will have a private funeral service with burial at Pleasant Grove Community Cemetery.

Ms. Walden was born on Dec 13, 1946, to the late Dorsey Mathis and Janie Tilley Mathis. She married Coy Norton in 1963, who proceeded her in death. They had two sons, Clint and Blake. She married Roy Walden in 1974. Beverly had a 40-year career as a pharmacy technician. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church in Cairo. Beverly was most proud of her two sons and her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren. Her best friend was her sweet cat, Dimples.

Survivors include: her children, Clint Norton (Sandy) of Cairo, GA, Blake Norton (Misty) of Cairo, GA; stepdaughters, Angie Walden of Panama City Beach, FL, Becca Walden (Clay) of Spanish Fort, AL; sister, Virginia White of Cairo, GA; loving nieces, Tracy White and Elizabeth Wilson, both of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Cori Norton, Cali Norton, Zadock Norton, all of Cairo, GA, Jared Anderson of Tallahassee, FL, Alexa Scott (Andrew) of Tallahassee, FL; and a host of extended family.

She was proceeded in death by: her parents; her husbands; brother, Lloyd D Mathis; sister-in- law, Shirley Mathis; brother-in-law, Roger White; niece, Carla Mathis; nephew Larry White; and her beloved cat, Sugar.
