Funeral services for Hunter Dwayne Maxwell, 19, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA. Pastor Teddy Williamson will officiate. Hunter passed away on Friday evening, April 17, 2026.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Maxwell, Evan Stewart, Jesus Chalchi, Keith Taylor, Aiden Harendeen and Cayden Singletary.

Hunter was born on December 10, 2006, in Fort Pierce, FL, to Ben Maxwell and Amber Conover Reaves. He was about to be a graduate of Cairo High School. He was employed with the family business, Maxwell Gardens and Landscape. Hunter was a member of Riders for Christ Cowboy Church in northern Grady County.

Hunter was the light in his family’s eyes. He loved riding his motorcycle with his dad, working side by side with his mom, and being outdoors for anything. His gentle soul always made others feel welcome around him. He loved helping his sisters and playing with his niece and nephews. God gained a wonderful angel who will be truly missed.

Survivors include: his parents, Amber Reaves and Ben Maxwell of Cairo, GA; siblings, Savanna Reaves (Keith Taylor) of Thomasville, GA, Carly Reaves (Josh Lewis) of Thomasville, GA; half-brother, Chase Reaves of Alabama; maternal grandfather, Pete Creasman of Kentucky; paternal grandparents, Mark Maxwell of Cairo, GA, Elizabeth Maxwell of Cairo, GA; nephews, Mason Taylor, Weston Reaves; niece, Sarah Ann Taylor; Hunter’s special friend, Haley LeAnn Hester; uncle, Michael Conover (Krissy); aunt, Kelley Maxwell; cousins, Cody Conover, Dakota Conover, Wyatt Conover, Foxx Ingram; and a host of extended family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dawn Creasman.
