Celebration of Life Funeral Services for Juanita Lodge Perkins, 103, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Marian Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Perkins passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, March 6, 2026.
Active pallbearers will be Tracy Lee Perkins, Jack Taylor, Cory Perkins, Bobby Joe Phillips, Doc Belflowers, and Tyler Hembree.
Mrs. Perkins was born on February 11, 1923, in Whigham, GA, to the late W. G. Lodge and Ruby Barfield Lodge. On January 3, 1942, she married the love of her life Maurice L. Perkins Sr., who preceded her in death on May 20, 2007. She was a homemaker and member of the Lake Wire Church of God in Lakeland, FL. She was a dedicated and devoted wife and a loving mother. Known to all for her kindness, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends, always putting their needs before her own. Her legacy of love will live on in her children and grandchildren. She brought warmth and light to all who knew her. She was one of the Atlanta Braves biggest fans. She loved to travel the US with her husband and friends. Bowling and playing a good card game were some of her favorite past times.
Survivors include: her children, Maurice Lenwood Perkins, Jr. (Regina) of Cairo, GA, Gerald D. “Jerry” Perkins of Cairo, GA, Marcia Johnston (Leroy) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Rhonda Taylor (Jack) of Cairo, GA, Shawn Perkins (Dawn) of Winter Haven, FL, Anita Perkins of Cairo, GA, Johnny Hazelwood (Michelle) of Davenport , IA, Cory Perkins (Jessica) of Lakeland, FL, Heather Barrett (Bobby Joe) of Cairo, GA, Ashley Schnier (Shannon) of Loganville, GA, Candice Perkins (Jay) of Cairo, GA, Rachel Rewis of Valdosta, GA; great-grandchildren, Madison, Kelly, Kylee, Courtney, Brooke, Haylee, Ashton, Adam, Jesse, Avery, Cody, Darby, Brady, Christopher, Brittany, Trevor, Brandon, Bentley; 16 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Garrett of Pensacola, FL, Ouida Huber of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, W. G. and Ruby Lodge; husband, Maurice Perkins SR; son, Danny Ray Perkins; greatgrandchildren, Schoen Perkins, Lynleigh Barrett, Brittany Frantz; and 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
