Charles “Charlie” Marvin Daniel
August 28, 1943 – February 13, 2026

Charles “Charlie” Marvin Daniel passed away peacefully at his home in Thomasville, GA, on February 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Charlie was born August 28, 1943, in Calhoun County, GA to the late Leon Morris Daniel and Verna Lane Daniel. On January 24, 1999, he married Mary James Daniel, who survives. Charlie served his country in the Navy as an electrician. Upon honorable discharge, he started his telecommunications career with Southern Bell and retired from the industry after 36 years.

Charlie was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He lived in Spence, GA for over 50 years where he raised his three children as a single father. He was very active in church and taught Sunday school. In his final years, his devoted wife Mary cared for him unselfishly.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary J. Daniel of Thomasville, GA; son, Wendell Daniel of Huntington Beach, CA, his daughters, Sherri Bailey (Myles) of Vienna, GA and Crystal Wells (Chip) of Cairo, GA; Stepchildren, Drew, Johnny and Naomi Brown; Grandchildren, Emma and Peyton Daniel, Brittany Smith (Alex) and Dane Bailey, Tanner and Alex Ramm; great-grandchildren, Harris and Bailey Smith; brother, Jimmy Daniel (Charlotte) of Tifton, GA; and his nephews, Jim, Stan and Dennis Daniel.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Morris “Boone” Daniel.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory to First Baptist Church of Thomasville.
