Clyde Henry Lee
August 20, 1927 – February 8, 2026

Clyde Henry Lee passed away at the age of 98 on February 8, 2026, in Tallahassee, FL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Linton and Rev. Art Bruce officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Mr. Lee will be interred at the Gainey Cemetery in Cairo, GA immediately following the service.

Clyde Lee was born on August 20, 1927, in Reno, GA to the late Charlie and Myram Lila Lee. He grew up in Tallahassee. He attended Leon High School and graduated after joining the Navy in 1945. After completing his military service, he returned to Tallahassee and joined the Tallahassee Fire Department in 1948, retiring in 1985. At the time of his death, Mr. Lee was Tallahassee’s oldest living fire fighter.

He married Vonysea Sparkman in October 1952. He along with his brother, Bill, formed the Lee Brothers Construction Company. Together they built several local churches, homes and numerous renovations to home and office buildings.

However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by his children and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. How they loved their “Paw Paw.”

He was preceded in death by: parents, Charlie Henry and Lila Lee; wife, Vony Lee; and 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Survivors include: his son, Terry Lee (Kris) of Tallahassee, FL; daughters, Linda Meeks (Jamie) of Tallahassee, FL, Dian Bruce (Art) of Bainbridge, GA; grandchildren, Joel Bruce (Emily) of Lexington, SC, Nathan Bruce (Jennifer) of Tallahassee, FL, David Bruce (Kayla)of Macon, GA, Savannah Lee of Tallahassee, FL, Bobby Lee of Tallahassee, FL, Michael Cleary of Orlando, FL; great-grandchildren, Ethan Bruce, Camilla Bruce, Lillian Bruce, all of Lexington, SC, Asher Bruce and Anslee Bruce, both of Macon, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
