Lisa was born on August 26, 1959, in Cairo, GA, to the late John Lauren Clark, Jr. and Nancy Collins Clark. She was a graduate of Cairo High School and the University of Georgia. On December 8, 1984, she married Ken LeGette. They have been married for 41 years. She retired as an English teacher, Chairman of the English Department and the CHS Debate Coach from Cairo High School. She was a member of the Cairo Woman’s Club, the Grady County Help Agency and the Grady County Retired Educators Association. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Reno.

Lisa passed away peacefully, surrounded by Love. She was a woman of Grace, quiet strength, and deep Faith; Whose life was marked not by loud gestures, but by steady devotion to her family and community.

Lisa was the heart of her home — A devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She carried herself with kindness and humility, offering encouragement when it was needed most and compassion without condition. Even in her hardest moments, she was known for her gentle spirit, her manners, and consideration for others.

A woman of faith, Lisa lived her life through service. She was actively involved in her church and community, supporting others through volunteer work, school involvement, and acts of care that often went unseen but were deeply felt. Whether helping with meals, supporting families in times of need, or simply being present, Lisa believed in showing up — quietly and faithfully.

To know Lisa was to know generosity. When she wasn’t giving her heart to others, she found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life – time at the beach with family and friends, attending concerts with her husband, and cooking delicious meals in the kitchen that brought everyone together. She had a calming presence that made others feel safe, welcome, and understood.

She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will carry her example forward — striving to live with the same grace, patience, and kindness she showed every day.
