Mr. Herndon was born on December 6, 1963, in Munich, German, to the late Daniel Herndon and Brigitte Reinhart Herndon. He was a carpenter.

Survivors include: his children, Savannah Herndon of Cairo, GA, Amanda Taylor (Troy) of Cairo, GA, Philip Herndon (Montana) of Cairo, GA, Scott Hurst of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Noah Hurst, Lola Hurst, Madelynn Harrell, Van Taylor, Olive Taylor; 1 great-grandchild; mother, Brigitte R. Herndon of Mary Esther, FL; brothers, Tim Herndon (Wynn) of Niceville FL, Jeff Herndon (Kathi) of Niceville, FL; sisters, Tina Cloer (Terry) Mary Esther, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father.
