Charles Lee “Chuck” Phillips, II
May 10, 1962 – January 13, 2026

Funeral services for Charles Lee “Chuck” Phillips, II, 63, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA. Rev. Marian Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Phillips passed away at Archbold Living-Cairo on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Active pallbearers will be Dewayne Sorrow, Logan Sorrow, Scotty Johnson, Justin Johnson, Toby Sellers and Victor Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers will be Shay Johnson, Jason Johnson, Scott Johnson, Nicky Page, Keith Kirkland and all members of the Tama Honor Guard.

Mr. Phillips was born on May 10, 1962, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Charlie Lee Phillips and Christine Perkins Phillips. He was a caregiver of life to all that he knew. His love for everyone was pure and genuine. He always saw the good things in all people and accepted people as they were. He loved performing magic shows for all the kids, big and small. He did not waste any of his life; instead, he kept busy with a craft or activity at all times. Chuck loved his Creek heritage and was quite adapt at learning the Creek language. He was a faithful member of Tama Tribal Town Community Church and prior to his disability, attended Sunday School and Church each week and assisted in all Church activities. He loved his Lord and Savior with all his heart and expressed his love for everyone in the way he lived.

Survivors include: his sisters, Charlotte Kirkland of Cairo, GA, Rev. Marian Johnson of Cairo, GA; and an abundant host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother-in-law, Dr. Rev. Larry E. Johnson; and a niece, Karen Kirkland.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Phillips’ memory to: Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe Church Building Fund, 107 Tall Pine Drive, Whigham, GA 39897.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
