Graveside funeral services for Guy Augustus Johnson, Jr., 70, of Calvary, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Piedmont Cemetery, Calvary, GA. Rev. Stan Godwin will officiate. Mr. Johnson passed away at his home on Monday, November 17, 2025.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Stephens, Wayne Windham, Vic Vickers, Brett Maxwell, Johnny Johnson and Sammy Stanley.

Mr. Johnson was born on March 2, 1955, in Cairo, GA, to the late Guy A. Johnson, Sr. and Lorene Lee Johnson. On July 21, 1979, he married Lynn Hawthorne Johnson. They have been married for 46 years. He was the facilities director for Apalachee Center in Tallahassee. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Guy was known for the meticulous nature and care he had for always maintaining a perfect yard. He loved the beach and being on the water. He had a passion for motocross and enjoyed traveling and supporting his son at races for many years. He loved, most of all, being with his grandchildren.

Survivors include: his wife, Lynn H. Johnson of Calvary, GA; sons, Trey Johnson (Ansley) of Calvary, GA, Brad Johnson (Lindsay) of Havana, FL; grandchildren, Avery Johnson, Emma Johnson, both of Calvary, GA, Henley Johnson, Layton Johnson, both of Havana, FL; sister, Winifred Newberry of Augusta, GA; a niece, nephew and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Guy and Lorene Johnson; and sister, Sylvia Lee Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Johnson’s memory to: Affinity Hospice, 2016 E. Pinetree Blvd., Thomasville, GA.

The family will receive friends at his home following the graveside service for a family and friends celebration of his life.
