Dr. Eric Joseph McFee

Dr. Eric Joseph McFee, 62, of Cairo, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Dr. McFee was born on June 12, 1963, in Binghamton, NY, to Howard McFee and Lina Villalobos McFee. On September 2, 2007, he married Karen Fratino McFee. He received his Doctorate in Leadership Education, and he was the Superintendent of Schools for the Grady County Board of Education.
Eric was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his seven grandchildren. He was also a loving son and brother. He was a loyal friend and mentor to countless educators in Florida and Georgia. His dedication and commitment to everyone in this life was unmatched. His passion for his calling to education will be felt for generations to come. His life exemplified his favorite phrase of “Livin the dream.”
Survivors include: his wife, Karen F. McFee of Cairo, GA; children, Bradley McFee (Olivia) of Knoxville, TN, Evelyn McFee of Fort Myers, FL, Kristen Childers (James) of Lexington, KY, Kelly Snyder of Carbondale, CO; grandchildren, Presley McFee, Carolena McFee, Jameson McFee, all of Knoxville, TN, Ivy Jenkins of Fort Myers, FL, Lincoln Childers, Logan Childers, Leslie Childers, all of Lexington, KY; his parents, Howard and Lina McFee of Cape Coral, FL; siblings, Bryan McFee (Deborah) of Brooksville, FL, Shannon McFee (Michele) of Naples, FL, Elena Shidel (Gary) of Cape Coral, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
