Raymond Donald Spencer, II
November 15, 1937 – July 26, 2020

Raymond Donald Spencer, II, 82, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Private funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Stoner, USAF Retired will officiate.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA.

Active pallbearers will be Raymond Spencer, Michael Spencer, Brock Spencer, Charlie Stoner, Terry Parker, Cecil Gibbs and Rick Zondlo.

Ray was born November 15, 1937, in Kansas City, MO to the late Raymond Donald Spencer and Beulah Spencer.  He married Bobbie Harrison from Whigham, GA on May 7, 1966.  Ray was a Real Estate Broker for most of his life.  He was an avid pilot and loved sailing large sailboats, but most of all he loved his walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.  Ray was so privileged to have led Bobbie’s father to the Lord Jesus Christ.

His survivors are: his wife, Bobbie Harrison Spencer of Tallahassee, FL; sons, Raymond Spencer, III (Dr. Catherine Larned) of Jacksonville, FL and Michael Spencer (Carol) of Olathe, KS; and two grandchildren, Brock Spencer, Audrey Spencer, both of Olathe, KS.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ray and Bobbie raised two great sons who loves the Lord Jesus Christ just as their father did.

Ray was musical.  He played the trumpet and guitar in college.  He played the guitar in high schools for the Christian group called “Young Life.”  Ray was always spreading “The Good News.”  He also taught Bible Life classes in the church where he and Bobbie attended.
