Minnie Ruth Jenkins

Private graveside funeral services for Minnie Ruth Jenkins, 80, of Cairo, GA, are on Saturday, September 26, 2020, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Johnny Burdick will officiate.  Mrs. Jenkins passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Thursday, September 24, 2020.

Mrs. Jenkins was born on June 10, 1940, in Quitman, GA, to the late William Gordan Lindsey and Sadie Mae Sellers Lindsey.  On July 19, 1958, she married James Ronald Jenkins, Sr., who preceded her in death on November 1, 2019.  They were married for 61 years.  Minnie was a nurse and homemaker.  She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include: sons, James Jenkins, Jr. (Vicki) of Cairo, GA, John R. “Rusty” Jenkins (Connie) of  Cairo, GA, Gerald Lamar “Jerry” Jenkins of Cairo, GA; son-in-law, Craig Cutchens of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Woodward (Shawn) of Cairo, GA, Caitlin Suddarth (Tyler) of Cairo, GA, Zack Jenkins of Cairo, GA, Dusty “Dustman” Jenkins (Ciara) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Ashley Williams of Cairo, GA,  John Jenkins (Erica) of Tallahassee, FL, Christina Lee Jenkins of Cairo, GA, James Ronnie “Little James” Jenkins of Cairo, GA, Heather Glover of Cairo, GA, Racheal Barrineau of Cairo, GA, Sommer Stevens (Chad) of Cairo, GA, Mitchell Cutchens (Gloria) of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Carmen, A.J., Shelby, Tylan, Cooper, Palmer, Rhett, Jamie, Chloe, Tate, Thea; brothers-in-law, Johnny Jenkins (Evelyn) of Cairo, GA, Travis Crawford of Cairo, GA; sisters-in-law, Gwen Ann West of Coolidge, GA, Lowette Nehls (Bill) of Thomasville, GA, Peggy Hall (Barry) of Rocky Mountain, NC, Marie Ansley of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: parents; husband; daughter, Denise Cutchens; great-grandson, Christian Jenkins; sisters, Beatrice Ridley, Sally Miller, Margaret Bailey, Nan Crawford; brothers, Bill Lindsey, John Lindsey; and sister-in-law, Cindy Sheridan.
