John Littleton Ulmer

Funeral services for John Littleton Ulmer, 91, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2019, at Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Elder Jon Mizell will officiate. Interment will be in Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mr. Ulmer passed away at his home in Whigham, GA, on Thursday, September 5, 2019.

Mr. Ulmer was born on May 19, 1928, in Whigham, GA, to the late Clayton Ulmer and Irene Booth Ulmer. Mr. Ulmer served his country in the United States Army. On May 4, 1956, he married Gail Hancock Ulmer, who survives. He was a farmer, and a member of Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Gail Hancock Ulmer of Whigham, GA; daughters, Linda Faye Newsom (Daniel) of Whigham, GA, Patricia Cannon (Ricky) of Bainbridge, GA; son, John Steven Ulmer of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Alaina Walker of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Alyssa Newsom of Whigham, GA, Shane Cannon (Denise) of Tallahassee, FL, Stephanie Davidson (Andrew) of Bainbridge, GA; great-grandchild, Carson Davidson of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 15 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2019.
