Tommy Gene Joyner
June 29, 1948 – January 4, 2021

Graveside funeral services for Tommy Gene Joyner, 72, of Thomasville, GA, are on Friday, January 8, 2021, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.   Rev. Andy Daughtry will officiate.  Mr. Joyner passed away at his home on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Mr. Joyner was born on June 29, 1948, in Cairo, GA, to the late Floyd Joyner and Eunice Bryant.  He served his country in the United States Marines in Viet Nam.  On December 24, 2003, he married Linda Tubbs Joyner, who survives.  Tommy was a truck driver with Werner Enterprise Company until his retirement.  He was of the Holiness faith.  He loved fishing, his family and life in general.  Tommy was a mischievous character, who loved to laugh and play with people he liked.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda Joyner of Thomasville, GA; sons, Christopher Joyner (Dede) of Tallahassee, FL, Kevin Joyner of Tallahassee, FL, James Donald Joyner of Woodville, FL; grandchild, Maria Joyner of Tallahassee, FL; siblings, Eleanor Harper, Bettye Carlton, Virgil Joyner (Bobbie), Linda Parker (Alan), Lisa Joyner (George), Stevie Joyner; 4 stepchildren: and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: parents; and his siblings, Bernard Joyner, Frances Ezell, Donald Joyner, Wendell Joyner, Velma Singletary.
