Johnny Lynwood Hudson

Funeral services for Johnny Lynwood Hudson, 69, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2020, at Long Branch Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jeff Ezell will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Hudson passed away at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville, GA, on Friday, January 17, 2020.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Mills, Robbie Mills, Jeremy Mills, Alan Holley, Alan Barrett and Chris Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Weymond Hawthorne, Wayne Chason, Lance Hawthorne, Kenneth Stewart, William Griffin, David Chester and Russell Collins.

Mr. Hudson was born on November 18, 1950, in Cairo, GA, to the late Paul Washington Hudson and Bernice Walker Hudson. He was a long-time employee of Mills Heating and Cooling. Johnny was always helping his friends and neighbors. He truly lived with a servant’s heart. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his brother, Larry Hudson of Cairo, GA; his sister, Rochelle Warren of Morganton, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Raymond Jimmy Hudson, Paul Daniel Hudson; and a sister, Doxie Stokes.

The family will receive friends at Long Branch Baptist Church on Monday, January 20, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
