Funeral services for Donald D. Walden, 74, of Firestone, CO, are at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Stacy Glover will officiate. Services will conclude at the Chapel. Mr. Walden passed away at TRU Hospice, Longmont, CO, on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
Mr. Walden was born on February 7, 1944, in Whigham, GA, to the late Marvin Jones Walden and Bernice Johnson Walden. On June 28, 1969, he married Marie Geraldine “Gerrie” Cormier Walden, who survives. Mr. Walden retired from the United States Navy after 20 plus years of service to his country. He also retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Whigham, GA.
Survivors include: his wife, Gerrie Walden of Firestone, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Rebecca Walden of Brighton, CO; brother and sisters-in-law, Ken and Nancy Walden of Whigham, GA, Shirley Walden of Whigham, GA, Marie Walden of Cairo, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Bobby Hancock of Cairo, GA, June and Richard Wells of Quincy, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers and sister-in-law, J. M. Walden and wife, Shirley Walden, Charles Walden and Ray Walden.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 16, 20, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
