Danny Harris, Sr.
June 29, 1937 – April 5, 2017

A celebration of life graveside service for Danny Harris, Sr., 79, of Whigham, GA, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Rev. Jerry Robertson and Rev. Harold Burrell will officiate. Mr. Harris passed away surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Whigham, GA, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

Mr. Harris was born on June 29, 1937, in Baxley, GA, to the late Donald Harris and Madelyn Durden Harris. On February 25, 1956, he married Jean Ellen Hooks Harris, who preceded him in death on September 3, 2008. He was owner and operator of Danny’s Auto Parts Store, Whigham, GA. He was a member of Whigham Baptist Church.

Survivors include: sons, Danny Harris, Jr. (Julie) of Climax, GA, Carl Harris (Candy) of Whigham, GA; daughters, Janey Nola (Mike) of Tallahassee, FL, Robin Mobley (Jeff) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Logan Harris of Tallahassee, FL, Kylie Harris of Cairo, GA, P. J. Knight of Louisville, KY, Jeff Mobley, Jr. of Cairo, Justin Mobley (Alaina) of Peachtree City, GA, C. J. Harris of Cairo, GA, Will Dalton of Cairo, GA, Bryce Harris of Whigham, GA, Cathy Harris of Whigham, GA, Kyle Harris of Whigham, GA, Callista Mobley, and Addie Childree both of Climax, GA; great-grandchildren, Makayla Mobley, Michael Mobley, Morgan Mobley, Andrew Mobley, Matthew Mobley, Ethan Forshee, Rylan Mobley, Madeline Mobley, Emmaline Mobley, and Thomas Dalton; seven brothers and sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: parents; wife; daughter, Cathy Brock; and a grandson, Jeremiah Mobley.
