Funeral services for Claudia Irene Brinson, 102, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at Providence Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Rev. Sam Quick and Rev. Douglas Halstead will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Brinson passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

Mrs. Brinson was born on July 28, 1917, in Whigham, GA, to the late Benjamin Franklin Walden, Sr. and Della Lee Thomas Walden. She was married to John Daniel Brinson, who preceded her in death in 1981. She worked as a store clerk with Sunnyland Packing in Thomasville until her retirement. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Whigham, GA.

Survivors include: her sons, Franklin L. Brinson (wife, Chris) of Carthage, MO, Jerry D. Brinson (wife, Emma) of Umatilla, FL; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; her son, Lenzie Buford Brinson; and a host of brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends at Providence Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
