Blonnie Brown Waldrop
July 2, 1932 – March 30, 2016

Funeral services for Blonnie Mae Brown Waldrop, 83, of Whigham, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Whigham United Methodist Church, Whigham, GA. Rev. Tammy Fincannon and Rev. Marsha Emory will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mrs. Waldrop passed away at her home in Grady County, GA, on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.

Active pallbearers will be Greg VanLandingham, Paul Bush, Morgan Murphy, Sammy Perkins, Dr. Ken Leggett, Ferrell Duncan, David Fincannon, Ernie Duncan and Eric Brown.

Mrs. Waldrop was born on July 2, 1932, in Albany, GA, to the late Sim Brown and Desima Mitchell Brown. On October 18, 1948, she was married to Robert Lane Waldrop, Sr., who preceded her in death on March 1, 2003. She was a farmer and a homemaker. She was a member of the Whigham Methodist Church.

Survivors include: son, Robert Lane Waldrop, Jr. (Lory) of Steinhatchee, FL; grandchildren, Michael Stephens (Carrie) of Atlanta, GA, Desiree Waldrop (Morgan) of Boston, GA, Alana Waldrop of Tallahassee, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a host of brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Waldrop’s memory to the Whigham United Methodist Church, 146 W. Broad Ave., Whigham, GA 39897.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
